June 11-12, 2005—Five By Design made its third return to Clarinda, Iowa and the Glenn Miller Festival. Clarinda is the birthplace of Miller and the four day festival is a tribute to the famous bandleader of the 1940s. The Miller Festival has a lot of memorabilia including Miller's trombone and a case of Chesterfield cigarettes which was his radio sponsor.
